Gone are the days of taking your floppy drive to Kinko’s to print on cardstock. These days, we send pdfs and LinkedIn profiles. Your resume should not be static. It should morph for your audience. If you’re applying for an entry level job as a copywriter, your experience as the front desk manager for the hair salon will not impress them. However, you’re job as the editor of your college newspaper would be impressive to them. If you’re applying for a job as the office manager of a local vet’s office to hold you over while you search for the perfect copywriting gig, leave that front desk manager position on your resume. Now, it applies.
